Our unique insight into specialized discipline of the cruise ship industry has enabled us to establish ourselves as one of the major providers in this market.

At Gridworks Inc., we carry some of the most reputable brands of professional audio, video, theatrical, and special FX lighting/entertainment products that are available on the market. We integrate automation and control systems that make any elaborate audio video system easy to use.

We are a first class, full service audio, video, and lighting contractor and sales facility. Our services range from a simple “box sale” to full turnkey concept, design, installation, maintenance/service and support after the sale.

Some of our major clients include Princess Cruises, Royal Carribean Cruise Lines, Cunard Line, Crystal Cruises, Carnival Cruise Lines, P&O Australia, UCLA, Compton Unified School District, Fountain Valley Unified School District, Lightspeed Technologies, and many other private businesses around the country.

We conduct business out of our 7,000 square foot office and warehouse facilities in Torrance, CA. Our proximity to LAX and both Long Beach and Los Angeles Cruise terminals allows us to quickly react to any expedited needs of our clients. Meet Our Staff

Greg Dunn, CEO/President

Greg has been involved in live entertainment production for over 40 years. He graduated with a BA in Theatre/English from Rutgers University in 1971 and since then has worked in theatrical production both nationally and worldwide. His previous theatrical duties have been as Stage Manager, Lighting and Sound Designer, Technical Director, Electrician, Carpenter, Actor and Director.

After working in regional theaters in Connecticut, Texas and New York, he moved to California in 1977 and began working for Wavelength Systems Design, which at the time, was one of the West Coast’s premier professional Audio, Video and Lighting Companies. Beginning as a shop technician, he worked his way to become the Sr. Vice President of the company before leaving in 1998. During that time he designed, installed and managed major projects in venues and cruise ships all over the world. Among his accomplishments was the mechanical design and fabrication of a UL listed lighting fixture for the Stuart Anderson’s chain of restaurants that was installed in over 150 national sites.

His knowledge of live theater enabled Wavelength to venture into previously untapped markets of show design, scenic construction and turnkey theater design, moving the company into live theater production and building a client base that included Carnival Cruise Lines, Princess Cruises, Crystal Cruises and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line to name just a few.

In January of 1999, he and his brother Regis formed Gridworks on the concept of using their expertise in the entertainment industry to provide superior service to all their clients. The motto of the company truly has been “Get It Dunn.”

Greg has had several articles published on the unique nature of designing audio and lighting systems for the cruise ship market and still maintains his affiliation as a Stage Manager with Actor’s Equity.

Milena Donahue, Administrator/Marketing Director

Milena Donahue

Milena Donahue is a communicator at heart and a multi-tasker by nature. On a daily basis, she can be found wearing many hats from administration, office management to working hand-in-hand with the sales department providing support and analytics. Milena was an integral part in revamping the company and keeping it involved in current marketing trends as well in as optimizing the website. She believes staying informed on how successful people and businesses communicate is a big part of positive growth as a company and as a business professional.

Born in Lima, Peru, she came to sunny Southern California as a child where she continues to reside with her husband and young daughter. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. A favorite quote: “Remember to never give up and that the sky is the limit because you never know what door will open up next.”

Carlos Reveco,
Product Control Manager

Audio Visual Technician | Carlos Revoco of GridworksCarlos Reveco is the Product Control Manager for Gridworks Inc. In this role, he is responsible for the efficient control of products coming in and going out of the company. He works closely with the Shipping and Receiving Clerk and other warehouse staff to ensure accurate purchasing, receiving and shipping of all materials to support our projects.

Prior to joining the company in 2006, Carlos held a variety of managerial positions including working for a record label as an export sales manager and managing an art supply warehouse. He brings extensive experience in developing and leading growth and efficiency initiatives.

Carlos received his B.A. from Loyola Marymount University. He lives in Los Angeles, CA, with his wife Elizabeth and a stuffed wombat called Russell.

Christopher Johnson, VP of Sales

Christopher Johnson, VP of Sales | GridworksChristopher Johnson is the Vice President of Sales at Gridworks Inc. Since joining the company, he has been an integral part of the Gridworks team. He has an easy going style that puts people at ease. He keeps things real and is not afraid to add a bit of humor while staying true to himself.

Christopher studied Electrical Engineering at North Carolina A&T State University and previously worked for AT&T wireless before joining the company. In 2003, he decided that it was time for a change in scenery (and weather) and moved to the beautiful South Bay of Los Angeles County. In 2005, Christopher left the wireless communications industry and joined the team at Gridworks Inc.

When Christopher is not visiting clients and offering audio visual solutions, he enjoys expanding his knowledge of photography and traveling the world to experience different cultures.

Timothy W. Burke

Tim Burke, Project Manager at GridworksVersatile Event specialist with over 35 years of Worldwide experience as an Account Executive, Project Manager, Production Designer, Lighting Designer and Rigging & Motion Control Coordinator for major global clients including Boeing, Crystal Cruises, Lotus, Mazda, Toyota, Melissa Etheridge, Neil Diamond, Bette Midler and U2.

Joyfully and passionately pursuing a career in live entertainment production since 1975, Timothy Burke has developed wide and diverse experience, talent, and most importantly patience. He began his touring experience in Road Management, Lighting Design, and Audio Systems with Tim Weisberg, the Moody Blues, and Melissa Manchester. Later he honed skills in Production and Tour Management with United Concerts, Wolf & Rissmiller, Concerts West, and Melissa Manchester. He became a Journeyman with I.A.T.S.E Local 99 in 1978, and continued with scenic, lighting and rigging design/installation with Oasis Stage Werks in Salt Lake City and with Obie Lighting in Los Angeles (during the formative years of the Auto Show Lighting business). After returning to Salt Lake City for a few years (in the mid 90’s) he returned to LA and assumed a Project Manager’s position for “Philadelphia’s Lights of Liberty” with Associates In Media Engineering. Then spent seven years with George & Goldberg Design Associates as an Account Executive, Project Manager, Production Designer, and Rigging & Motion Control Coordinator. In the midst of all these assignments; he began a career in the Cruise Line industry as a Sound & Light Director with Holland America Cruise Lines. Later designing and installing all aspects of entertainment systems for Wavelength Systems Design Inc., Tomas Gregor Associates as well as Gail Davies Choreography; on at least one hundred Cruise Line projects. Continuing since 1990 he has provided Crystal Cruises with Production Design and Lighting Design services for every production show mounted on their fleet (Art Directors: Gretchen Goertz Lewis and Kathy Orme); 54 shows to date. Recently providing lighting, rigging, production design and show production services at expositions and special events for clients such as George P. Johnson, Production Resource Group, Mattel, Super Color Digital, and Concept Designs Inc. He also designed several architectural lighting projects in the Napa Valley; most notably a production cellar refurbishment and a cellaring cave expansion at Chateau Montelena.

Currently, he is mainly focused on a project manager role for various cruise ship and commercial jobs representing Gridworks Inc. on a national and international level.
